Meet Our Teachers
Briana Wallace
Director, Pre school
NZAMD Jazz, Contemporary & Tap
Briana has trained at various studios including Fusion Dance Studio and Mt Eden Ballet Academy, being trained by various teachers including Talia Howes and Rosie Watkinson. She has completed her NZAMD jazz and contemporary solo performance diploma gaining a nomination for both in 2022.
In 2024 she will be continuing working towards gaining her undergraduate degree at Auckland University for the Bachelor of Dance Studies.
Alongside NZAMD jazz and contemporary she has completed RAD ballet up to Advanced Foundation and NZAMD tap. She also has experience in hip hop and musical theatre. She has been involved in dance competitions through troupes and solos where she found her passion for performing, which encouraged her to become involved in various shows.
Briana is passionate about dance teaching and enjoys helping students grow to express their love of dance through dance training. Briana cant wait to start her journey here at Revolution Dance Academy and meet all her amazing students!
Talia Howes
NZAMD Jazz & Contemporary
Talia has had many years of dance training, starting at the young age of 3 in RAD ballet. Since learning ballet, she has incorporated numerous genres into her dance training vocabulary including NZAMD jazz, NZAMD contemporary, NZAMD tap, and musical theatre. In 2017, she was accepted into the University of Auckland undergraduate Dance Studies program, where she completed her undergraduate degree and moved on to postgraduate study in 2020. From there she completed her Bachelor of Dance Studies with Honours and following on from that in 2022 just submitted her Masters thesis in dance education research.
Talia has had several years of experience choreographing and teaching in various dance studios and schools. She has also had the opportunity to GTA lecture in the Dance Studies programme at the University of Auckland for three years. Growing up in a dance studio (Fusion Dance Studio) and competing in local competitions, she has always had passion for performing on the stage.
Talia has had plentiful years of experience teaching in dance studios and schools in New Zealand and Internationally. Talia loves to teach and continues to grow her dance training in the hopes that she can inspire students the same way she was inspired when watching and learning from her fellow teachers.
Rosie Watkinson
NZAMD Ballet

Rosie is a highly qualified RAD registered ballet teacher with over 30 years of teaching choreographing and adjudicating experience. Rosie started her training at 4 years old at Mt Eden Ballet Academy and completed all of her RAD exams and enjoyed many years of competitions.
Having previously owned 2 successful dance schools on the hibiscus coast she is excited to be moving back to ÅŒrewa to start ballet teaching with Revolution Dance Academy.
Aimee Robinson
Hip Hop
Aimee has been dancing from the age of 4 in a range of styles, she has trained in NZAMD Jazz, NZAMD Contemporary and NZAMD Hip Hop. In 2017, Aimee was accepted into the University of Auckland Dance Studies Programme, and then continued into postgraduate study. She completed her Honours in 2020 and most recently finished her Masters thesis in 2022.

Aimee loves working with different age groups, and has experience working with students from two years to Adults. In her classes, she aims to create a safe space where students enjoyment for dance is fostered alongside hard work ethic. She is passionate about helping students grow and develop as not just as dancers but also as individuals. Throughout her studies, Aimee has discovered a particular passion for dance education, which has allowed her to teach and choreograph in numerous studios and schools throughout New Zealand and Internationally.

Alongside studio teaching, Aimee also currently works at KingsWay School as the Co-curricular Arts Director, implementing rich Arts programmes within the school and ensuring that each student from Year 1-13 has access to a range of Arts opportunities.

Aimee is so excited to be working at RDA this year alongside a wonderful team of teachers and students, and is ready to see what this year has in store.
Amelia Hines
Baby Ballet
Amelia started her dancing journey at the age of 8 at Fusion Dance Studio in Orewa. She has learned various styles, such as, ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap and hiphop.
She is in the process of completing the highest level of the NZAMD Jazz and Contemporary syllabus in 2024. Previously gaining outstanding results, awarding her with nominations to attend the NZAMD Scholarship weekend in Lower Hutt, and compete against New Zealand top dancers in 2022 & 2023. She has also completed her RAD Ballet syllabus up to Advanced One.
In 2022 she started attending and competing at dance competitions with high results, especially from her contemporary solo. Which received the best contemporary technique of the competition. She has lots of stage experience as she has also been in various school productions, high school music jr and Aladdin jr as a dance ensemble. She was also lucky enough to attend and compete at NZ’s biggest troupe dance competition, PACANZ, with Revolution Dance in 2023.
Amelia is so excited to teach the young dancers at RDA along side her fellow teachers.
